The Coming of Spring and Easter

DSCF2411 When we look into the heart of a flower, we see clouds, sunshine, minerals, time, the earth and everything else in the cosmos in it. Without clouds, there could be no rain, and there would be no flower.
No single tradition monopolizes the truth.  We must glean the best values of all traditions and work together to remove the tensions between them.  If we do, peace will have a chance.
-Thich Nhat Hanh

In this spirit, this blog will feature a several-times-weekly photo meditation focusing on the coming of Spring and Lent. It will draw from the daily readings for Lent from the Christian tradition, as well as readings from Eastern traditions. I hope you will enjoy the mix of familiar and perhaps not-so-familiar wisdom as we head toward a new season.

About the author jmankowsky

I live in Central Massachusetts in the United States--a wonderful area for nature photography. Using a standard point-and-shoot camera, I celebrate the nature found here in a variety of local landscapes throughout the changing seasons.
