The Coming of Spring and Easter March 15

-2The Milky Way

11 The Pharisees came and began to argue with him, asking him for a sign from heaven, to test him. 12And he sighed deeply in his spirit and said, ‘Why does this generation ask for a sign? Truly I tell you, no sign will be given to this generation.’ 13And he left them, and getting into the boat again, he went across to the other side.
-Mark 8

Here is another instance of a very human Jesus, “deeply sighing” when the Pharisees just don’t get it once again, and miss what is right in front of them.  I  picture Jesus stomping off, exasperated, and getting into the boat.

Thich Nhat Hanh says:
The Milky Way doesn’t say, “I am the Milky Way.”  It is the Milky Way.  In reality, the wonderful reality is life.  We are that wonderful reality. We ourselves are present here with a clear light that can illuminate and reflect everything as it is.

About the author jmankowsky

I live in Central Massachusetts in the United Stares, where I have recently retired from public school teaching after thirty-four years. I am a nature photographer, particularly focusing on the the wide variety of birds to be found in this area. I am a keen supporter of the Massachusetts Audubon and the exceptional work that they do in education and protecting nature. It pleases me that many of the photographs I have posted here have also been displayed on the Wachusett Meadow Audubon in Princeton, MA website. I would love to connect with other primary school teachers in the hope that these photos might be useful in inspiring children to a greater connection with nature.
