Canada Geese are often seen near beaver lodges in the early Spring. The activity of the beavers leads to earlier thawing of the ice, providing the geese with a welcome habitat and food resources. This is an example of a symbiotic relationship in nature.

How interesting that the activities of the beaver have a beneficial effect on other species such as the geese. As others have commented the light in these photos is particularly lovely.
Thanks so much. Beavers are beneficial, but also a bit of a trial. Their lodges change the water flow up and down stream. I visit them often in the summer evenings. Such fun to watch!
