Bringing Cheer

American Robins are known to run a few steps, then stop abruptly, both to listen for danger and watch for worm movement in the ground.
Robins usually hop through tall grasses; this robin is hopping through the last of the snow.

    1. Thanks! Honestly, they were such a nice sight to see. They do hang around all Summer. Looking forward to May, when the robins are joined by the catbirds, wrens, sparrows, hummingbirds, and orioles. I will especially appreciate them this year!

  1. I love robins, too. They have been singing for a couple of weeks, starting well before sunrise, and chattering until well past sunset.
Wishing you more happy moments with robins and other birds, Julie.
    Best,
    Tanja
