I find that robins always make me smile, Julie, from their singing long before sunrise to the splashy baths they take in the water bowl. 🙂
Thanks, Tanja. Robins do love to take baths, don’t they! Hoping that the hummers, Baltimore Orioles, wrens and catbirds will be joining them soon. The are all due back any day now.

The robins have a nest in a nearby bush. Hoping to see the babies soon!🐣
The babies are so much fun to watch. We had a couple in our yard last year.
It definitely does appear to be a cheering presence in the garden. Here our usually regular thrush visitors have been rather scarce, but they have been visiting the birdbaths again lately although still not foraging on the ground. It seems they have found other favourable foraging spots, but as winter progresses perhaps they will need to make more use of our garden once again. I mention our thrushes because I think that the American robin is in fact a thrush?
Yes, I believe robins are of that family. Very entertaining to watch them. Usually , I get to see the babies, as well.
