    1. It is a pretty place, Laurie. The mountain is good shared use, as well. Part ski area, part State Park, where the ancient forest was left untouched. The audubon abuts the mountain, and the trails connect, so it’s good for all!

    1. Thank you so much, Elvira. I am enjoying your blog, as well, especially the photos. My Spanish is limited, so I get as much as I can, and get the important phrases translated.

      1. Thanks to you Julie, I appreciate your kind words and support. I am glad you enjoy photos.
You are going to learn Spanish little by little, you will see.
        Have a wonderful time!

    1. Alas, Tanja , I do not downhill ski. (I snowshoe occasionally, and loved skating in my youth.) I imagine that, being a Pike’s Peak girl, you are handy at skiing?

      1. Snowshoeing is probably healthier than downhill skiing, Julie. When a child, I learned to ski in Austria, but after moving to the US, my husband got me started on Nordic skiing, and we both love it.
Pike’s Peak used to have a ski area (as did the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs), but no longer. Not enough snow nowadays. 🙁
