On a chilly New England afternoon, the Northern Cardinal and the American Tree Sparrow shared a feast at the Wachusett Meadow Audubon in Massachusetts. Neither bird paid attention to me.
I live in Central Massachusetts in the United States--a wonderful area for nature, art and culture. Using a compact camera, I celebrate daily life found here in a variety of local landscapes throughout the changing seasons.
The tufted titmice and chickadees are devouring the sunflower seeds at my home ravenously. Nice pictures of the tree sparrow and cardinal!

The little red squirrel didn’t show in the pictures, but he’s a constant snacker as well.
