Wachusett Meadow Audubon SanctuaryA group of thirteen baby turkeys, also called poults, strolled with their mother last evening at the Wachusett Meadow Audubon. Starting at the visitors’ entrance, they ambled across the front porch and over the lawn. Their destination? Bird feeders with fallen seeds underneath.
These poults (thank you for this new word) look very cute!
Ha ha! That was a new word for me, as well!
They are adorable! Love the scene of them walking on the porch. 🙂
Thanks. Who knew turkeys could be cute? 😉
So cute.
They really were. But that poor, tired mother with the 13 of them trailing after her!! 😉
They formed a wonderful strolling procession! I am glad that they were welcome to visit.
Turkeys are very common in this area, but I had not seen the babies so young before this. So cute, and grown-up turkeys are so NOT cute! 😉
Love all those babies!
Sure enough!
