  1. Stunning photos, as always, Julie! Love the contrasting seasonal transformation. As in nature so in our lives: “A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;” (Ecclesiastes 3:2).

    1. Hi Jet! How lovely to talk with you! Yes, I feel lucky to have such a varied landscape in our yard, and a half acre of woods in the back.
Even though I was not posting on WP for a while, I still followed some folks. So I am totally jealous of your Egyptian tour. I think of you as I watch all of Alice Robert’s train tours….you managed to see so much!
Just in case you haven’t seen it:

Hope you are well in these unsettled times,
      Julie

      1. Thanks so much for the AR train tour link, Julie. I have not seen these and I so appreciate you thinking of me. Cheers and thanks…and a big smile to you.

  2. It is so interesting to compare the same aspects in the contrasting seasons. The snow is beautiful but I definitely prefer the green! (Perhaps even more so now, as currently we are experiencing very dry conditions and awful wildfires in the Western Cape.)

    1. I agree–I prefer green! d Most of the green pictures were taken last July, which is the height of summer here garden wise, before growth can get out of hand! 😉 The winter pictures were from last week, but we have no snow now du to recent rain.

      1. It is so counterintuitive that here are summers are dry. The rains fall in the winter. Your summer pics are so soothing. Here there are wildfires all over the region including close to our village and they are ongoing even as I write this. We are so grateful to the relentless and heroic firefighters.
