About the author jmankowsky

This photo blog features the seasonal changes in nature observed in my own backyard and a variety of local environments. The Wachusett Meadow Audubon Sanctuary in Princeton, MA is often highlighted as a model for the positive effects a small nature preserve can have on the larger environment and the local community. Local sites of historical, cultural and recreational interest are spotlighted as well. All photographs were taken by me. Thank you so much for visiting.

  1. Beautiful shots! That reminds I need to go out and look around the house, but after clearing our driveway yesterday I am not too motivated now. 😜

    1. I so understand that. I love my deck in the summer, but the shoveling it off in the winter….;-(

  2. Great shadow captures! I noted the beautiful blue shadows on the fresh snow this morning. The wind sculpted the snow so smoothly. Did you get much snow?

    1. About 16 inches, and I am so glad it was the light kind. Clean up wasn’t too bad today. How about you?

      1. Only three inches… what a difference 50 miles makes! We didn’t even need the snowblower. These coastal storms seem to be the current pattern over the past decade or so. It wasn’t so long ago that our storms came off the Great Lakes across NY state.

  5. Is it ethereal geometry or geometric etherealness? Both, I think.
