The female Northern Cardinal has taken a keen interest in my garden preparations this week.
Cardinals really love the seeds from our Four-O’Clocks. Every year I’m afraid they’ve eaten so many that our flowers won’t come back, but every spring they do.
Ha ha…reminds me of the rabbits in our yard…I plant extra marigolds for them, which seems to keep them away from my other plants.🐇
Although not as spectacular as the male she is also gorgeous. I love the subtle touches of red including on the crest.
She has beautiful markings. I keep hoping to get a pic of her and get mate together.
I nominated you for the Mystery Blogger Award.
Oh my goodness, thank you so much! I don’t do any of the awards, but it means a lot to me to be nominated!
So cool!
I’m glad you liked it. I thought your pics of Tasmania were pretty darn cool as well! 😊
