According to the Harvard Press:
Willard Farm in Harvard, MA, is a legendary, family-owned country landmark revered by locals as the epitome of a classic New England roadside farm stand. Located in the scenic village of Still River, the Willard family has stewarded and farmed this land for hundreds of years.
This abundant stand has always run on the honor system. There are no clerks; customers choose their produce and leave cash in a locked box. Today the stand is still unattended, but in addition to cash, checks or Venmo are also accepted. And in a comment on the times, in a far corner sits a sign, “Smile, You’re On Camera”.
