Don’t you just love all phoebes, Julie? I do. Recently came across 4 fledgling Eastern Phoebes in our county, even though they aren’t supposed to be breeding here. What a delight to watch them huddle and get fed by their parents. 😊
Oh, that’s very cool! They usually have a nest on the porch of the Audubon building, making for easy viewing. They don’t seem to mind people very much.
Our Eastern Phoebes are somewhat shy, but Say’s Phoebes like to breed under human-made structures and don’t seem to mind humans. Black Phoebes, on the other hand, tend to be more aloof, at least based on my limited experience.
Your phoebe definitely lives in a beautiful place.
