The bare trees of winter are silhouetted against the evolving colors of a late afternoon sky.

Taken from my front porch in Holden, Massachusetts.

Photographs taken with a bridge camera journaling nature and everyday life in Central Massachusetts and beyond.
Heavenly colors
Thank you. Yes, I think they are “heavenly”!
😉

Gorgeous!
A glowing series
For a few minutes in the evening, it’s quite beautiful…
Julie
We appreciate these bright winter skies, here in Ireland at least, as they contrast with what is normally dull, grey weather where rain and cloud are the more normal fare.
Thanks for visiting, Paddy. Funny, when it gets to be around February, New Englanders can be heard saying, “Oh, for the green of Ireland, instead of this snow! ”
Cheers,
Julie
Love the pastel colours of winter skies. Have a good Thursday. Allan
Thanks, Allan. Winter color is harder to catch, but when you find it, it’s quite a treat, I think.
Cheers,
Julie
Beautiful!
Thank you, and wishing you Happy Holidays!
One of my favorite sights of winter is the bare treetops–really liked all the colors, shapes, clouds and sky here, Julie.
Yes bare treetops are so refreshing, especially after the weekends of leaf- raking around here. I always enjoy your visits!
Beautiful vistas, quite different from our part of the world. I enjoyed looking at you blog and learning of your beaver, they are an interesting creature we never see. Thanks for sharing your wonderful part of the world.
