This photo blog features the seasonal changes in nature observed in my own backyard and a variety of local environments. The Wachusett Meadow Audubon Sanctuary in Princeton, MA is often highlighted as a model for the positive effects a small nature preserve can have on the larger environment and the local community. Local sites of historical, cultural and recreational interest are spotlighted as well.
All photographs were taken by me. Thank you so much for visiting.
A few years ago two Blue Jays visited us and since that I have never seen them again. They were a little different from your Eastern Blue Jays. I love these birds, and how you photographed them! And the portrait of one of them is amazing!!!
Looks like the blue jay stayed around for a while. These are really good photos. The blue jays that have recently visited my yard have flown in, picked up a nut and took off – not sociable at all!

Yes, that last one is snappy. But I like them all. As far as I am concerned, you can never go wrong with birds

I’ve noticed that around my area, there are more jays than usual. They are quite bossy!
