Fascinating creature. You got several photos of him
Thanks. This one being on the grass gave me a chance to get a better pic than usual.
What a great capture of an animal that is usually nocturnal and solitary.
Thanks Laura. I love the way they walk!
Cute little fellow!
Seemed very secure out in the open, as well.
Poor vision, but great defense!
Lovely
Porcupines are fun. Reminds me that I wish we had hedgehogs here, though!
Nice view!
Sweet little animal, I think, quills aside! 😉
Wonderful!
Thanks for visiting! I chuckle each time I read your “Now I’m 64 ” Tag. I play in a large ukulele group of seniors. When we play that song, we think how ironic it is, as we are mostly over 64…. 😉
Cheers,
Julie
There’s a lot of us around! 😊
What great pictures and I enjoyed the video of the ambling walk. I was interested to see how it compares with our African porcupine.
I looked up “African Porupine” and found the Crested Porcupine. How exotic looking! Is that around where you live?
Hi Julie – yes they do occur around her. In our previous place they used to come into the garden. They are rather dramatically endowed with quills!
I looked up your African porcupine, and came across the Crested Porcupine. What a striking look! Is that the kind you have where you are?
